The Churches of County Armagh

The churches of County Armagh are a mixed bunch, ranging from the two large cathedrals in the city to the simple gospel halls. When considering this collection of buildings I decided that it would be best to divide them into six categories, as listed below. This is not intended to indicate that any one church is more important than another. It is simply a convenient way of allowing people to access the information easily. This is a very new web site (January 2005) and I will be adding to it as and when I have the opportunity. At the moment the information is confined to exterior photographs of the buildings but I will be including interior photographs and descriptions. I also intend to include information about burial grounds associated with any of the churches. There are now (July 2005) about 150 buildings listed but I know that there are still some to be found, particularly in the north and north-east of the county. There is still a lot of work to do. Keep watching.
